About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analytics Engineer (d/m/w) to join our Data Analytics Team in Freiburg. This pivotal role involves building and maintaining our central data platform, which serves as the foundation for all data-driven initiatives within the organization. As a senior member of the team, you will combine technical expertise with strategic insight to translate complex requirements into scalable data solutions. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and operating robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance. You will act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration to enable data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in data engineering, with strong skills in stakeholder communication and requirements engineering. You should have a solid understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum and be comfortable working across organizational boundaries. Proficiency in German (minimum C1 level) is essential for effective collaboration within our team. You should demonstrate proactive, solution-oriented thinking and be capable of quickly understanding complex data landscapes. Strong DevOps skills are required, including experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and monitoring tools. Additionally, candidates should have a solid background in data modeling and cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS. Knowledge of SQL, TypeScript, and Python is necessary, while experience with Infrastructure as Code, MLOps, and Big Data technologies like Hadoop is a plus.

• Participate actively in agile development processes, serving as a communication interface between technical teams and business units.
