About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at XITASO GmbH. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our clients' digital transformation initiatives by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions. Your expertise will help shape modern cloud architectures and ensure optimal automation, observability, and efficiency across various projects. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including developers, operations, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for continuous learning, a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Qualifications

• Completed studies in computer science or a comparable educational background.
• Excellent proficiency in German and English (C1 level) for clear and confident communication within the team and with partners.
• Relevant practical experience in cloud DevOps environments, with familiarity in technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and GitLab.
• Hands-on experience in software development, understanding software architectures from both theoretical and practical perspectives, with an emphasis on security, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Strong belief in DevOps as a philosophy and culture, with a commitment to continuous improvement and active participation in communities of practice and industry conferences.
• Cloud provider certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, StackIT) are advantageous but not mandatory.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Support clients in complex digitalization projects by leveraging high-end software engineering and cloud expertise to develop modern, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.
• Design and implement tailored cloud architectures in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and clients, ensuring high quality and sustainability of software solutions.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure smooth, auditable, and reliable rollouts using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management tools, and reusable deployment patterns.
• Maintain a reliable, secure, and cost-effective operation of software systems through observability tools, security hardening, and resource management strategies.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in DevOps and cloud engineering, actively contributing to the continuous improvement of team practices and sharing knowledge within communities.
• Assist the technical sales team by providing expert insights and technical validation during client engagements and proposals.

Salary: 60.000 - 85.000 € per year

Requirements

• Du verfügst über ein abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Informatik oder einen vergleichbaren Bildungsweg.
• Du besitzt sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse (C1-Niveau) für eine klare und sichere Kommunikation im Team und mit unseren Partnern.
• Du verfügst über einschlägige praktische Erfahrungen im beschriebenen Aufgabengebiet, kennst unterschiedliche Technologien des Cloud-DevOps-Ökosystems und setzt diese strategisch ein, z.B. Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Gitlab.
• Du lebst hohe Qualität und verfügst über praktische Entwicklungserfahrung in Softwareprojekten. Du verstehst Softwarearchitekturen nicht nur theoretisch, sondern aus der Umsetzung heraus und hast ein ausgeprägtes Gespür für Sicherheit, Observability und Kosteneffizienz.
