About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer (m/w/d) specializing in Shop Floor Automation to join our dynamic team in Burghausen. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing manufacturing execution systems that streamline our wafer production processes. Your role will involve technical oversight of defined Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) systems, with a particular focus on image processing and machine vision technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions, evaluate emerging technologies such as AI and optical measurement systems, and ensure the seamless integration of automation systems on the shop floor. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a technical degree or an equivalent qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in software development and automation systems. You should have extensive experience programming in C, with additional proficiency in languages such as Java, C#, or Python. A solid understanding of industrial software environments and system integration is essential. Candidates with a keen interest or background in optical measurement technology and control engineering will be highly valued. Strong analytical and conceptual skills are necessary to develop innovative solutions, along with excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate within international, cross-site teams. Previous experience leading or contributing to complex projects will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Take technical responsibility for defined CIM systems, focusing on image processing and machine vision applications, including providing second- and third-level support to ensure system stability and performance.
- Provide expert consultation on complex technical requirements, assisting in the design and planning of system architectures and making informed technology decisions.
- Lead or coordinate cross-site projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation of automation solutions across different manufacturing locations.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies such as optical measurement systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of technical standards, guidelines, and best practices to maintain high-quality automation processes.
