The Role
• Focus on backend development within a core financial product, evolving into a technical subject matter expert for architecture and implementation.
• Act as a technical advisor to the Product Owner, contributing expertise on payment accounting and financial data models.
• Translate functional and regulatory requirements into clean, scalable backend solutions.
• Develop and optimize high-performance batch and real-time processes for large-scale data handling.
• Design, maintain, and performance tune relational data models.
• Contribute to agile Scrum team planning, delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Need
• Relevant IT degree or equivalent qualification with 5+ years of professional experience.
• Strong backend development experience using Java, Spring Boot, and related tools.
• Deep understanding of financial accounting and payment processing.
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases and ORM architectures.
• Proven experience in processing and optimizing mass data.
• Proficiency in both German and English for international collaboration.
