About The Role
We are seeking a talented Frontend/Full Stack Web Developer specializing in PHP and Vue.js to join our dynamic team in Berlin-Tempelhof. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects that span frontend development, UI/UX design, backend maintenance, and infrastructure management. As part of our small, collaborative team, you will work on developing intuitive and complex web interfaces, enhancing user experience, and supporting our AI integration initiatives. You will have the chance to influence the design and functionality of our industry-leading software products used worldwide by film professionals. Your responsibilities will include designing user-friendly interfaces with Vue.js and Element+, improving our PHP/Yii2-based APIs, evaluating AI tools for integration, and assisting with DevOps tasks such as CI/CD pipelines and server management. Additionally, you will work with embedded video technologies like FFMPEG, ensuring our transcoding pipelines operate efficiently. This role is ideal for a versatile developer eager to work on diverse tasks within a creative and innovative environment, actively shaping the future of media technology.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess solid experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue.js or similar. Strong knowledge of PHP, especially with frameworks like Yii2, is essential, along with proficiency in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript. Experience in developing responsive, user-centric web interfaces and a good eye for UI/UX design are highly valued. The ability to independently make design decisions and work flexibly across different tasks is crucial. Candidates should have excellent communication skills in both German and English, enabling effective collaboration within our international team. Additional skills that are considered a plus include experience with AI-powered development, familiarity with agentic AI workflows such as Claude Code and Codex, and knowledge of component libraries like Element+ or Quasar. Experience with video encoding/transcoding (FFMPEG), security best practices, and performance optimization will give applicants an added advantage. A background in DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and server administration, is also desirable.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include designing and implementing complex, yet intuitive web interfaces using Vue.js and Element+, ensuring a seamless user experience from wireframes to final deployment. You will participate in UI/UX design processes, contributing to the overall user journey of our products. Maintaining and enhancing our PHP/Yii2-based APIs and backend services will be central to your role, ensuring stability and scalability. You will evaluate and integrate AI tools into our development workflows, supporting the ongoing digital transformation of our products. As part of our DevOps team, you will work on building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, deploying updates, and managing server infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. Bug fixing and quality assurance across the entire stack will be an ongoing task, requiring systematic analysis and problem-solving skills. Additionally, you will work with embedded video players and contribute to our FFMPEG-based transcoding pipelines, ensuring efficient handling of video content. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement new features, optimize existing functionalities, and support security and performance enhancements will be integral to your daily work.
