About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing complex software solutions across various projects. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams comprising software engineers, UI/UX specialists, agile coaches, and product owners to deliver innovative and high-quality products. Your expertise will contribute to the conception of scalable and maintainable architectures, ensuring that our solutions meet both current and future needs. As a senior team member, you will also play a vital role in mentoring less experienced colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Embracing emerging technologies such as AI tools and DevOps practices, you will help drive our projects forward and enhance our technological capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive practical experience in software development, demonstrating a strong technical foundation.
• Excellent command of German and English (minimum C1 level) for clear and confident communication within the team and with partners.
• Broad understanding of various technologies and concepts, with a keen interest in current industry developments.
• High standards for quality, including proficiency in unit testing, code reviews, clean coding practices, design patterns, refactoring, and modular architecture.
• Enjoyment in tackling challenging architectural questions collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
• Openness to "AI for Software Engineering" and enthusiasm for integrating tools like Claude Code, Open Code, and GitHub Copilot into client projects; prior experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring less experienced colleagues, supporting their growth toward senior roles.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on honesty, constructive feedback, and receptiveness to feedback.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership within an interdisciplinary team of highly qualified software engineers, UI/UX experts, agile coaches, and product owners to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Collaborating on the conception of complex, versatile software projects and executing these solutions in partnership with clients.
• Living agile principles through daily scrums, client reviews, and retrospectives, supported by our agile coaches.
• Designing durable software architectures and implementing them iteratively and incrementally.
• Applying DevOps methodologies to accelerate value delivery and gather user feedback efficiently.
• Integrating new and stable technologies at appropriate points within projects to enhance functionality and performance.
• Working in a self-organized manner, assuming responsibility, and actively shaping the direction of XITASO’s technological initiatives.

Salary: 55.000 - 65.000 € per year
