About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Data Analyst to join our team within the Network Sales, Business Solution Support department, located in Dortmund, Essen, Osnabrück, or Recklinghausen. This is a temporary position until December 31, 2027. The successful candidate will be instrumental in analyzing and interpreting process and system data related to our network operations. Your primary focus will be on understanding complex data sets, identifying patterns, and uncovering opportunities for process improvements. You will work closely with central Data Science and Analytics units to translate business requirements into technical solutions, develop prototypes of analyses, and support data-driven decision-making processes. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the modernization of our network operations through innovative data analysis and process optimization, ultimately supporting the company's strategic goals in energy distribution and sustainability.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in a relevant field such as Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or Information Technology, or have comparable professional qualifications. You should have a solid understanding of business processes, particularly within the context of network connection procedures or related operational workflows, and be eager to deepen this knowledge. Experience in data analysis, reporting, or process analysis is essential, along with strong analytical skills to interpret data within complex process contexts. Proficiency in analytical tools and languages such as SQL, Databricks, or Celonis is required. You should be comfortable working independently on prototypes and analyses, with a focus on translating data insights into actionable business recommendations. Additionally, responsible and safe working practices are expected, fostering a health- and safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret process and system data to identify correlations, anomalies, and potential improvements within network operations.
• Learn and understand technical and business processes related to network connection and support these with comprehensive data insights.
• Develop prototypes of data analyses and visualizations, utilizing database queries and analytical tools to explore datasets.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics teams to refine requirements, ensure proper data integration, and support advanced analytical projects.
• Utilize and further develop analytical tools and platforms such as SQL, Databricks, and Celonis to create meaningful insights in a business context.
• Derive specific research questions and work assignments based on initial analyses, supporting subsequent in-depth studies and process improvements.
• Communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, supporting data-driven decision-making processes.
