About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analytics Engineer (d/m/w) to join our Data Analytics Team in Freiburg. This pivotal role involves building and maintaining our central data platform, which serves as the backbone for all data analytics use cases across the organization. As a Senior Data Analytics Engineer, you will combine technical expertise with strategic thinking to develop scalable, secure, and reliable data solutions that support data-driven decision-making processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, business stakeholders, and software developers to translate complex requirements into practical data architectures and workflows. Your ability to bridge technical and business perspectives will ensure the delivery of high-quality data services that meet compliance, security, and operational standards. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and stakeholder communication. Proven experience in moderating stakeholder requirements and translating them into technical solutions is essential. Familiarity with agile methodologies, such as Scrum, and the ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries are highly valued. Fluency in German (minimum C1) is required to facilitate clear communication within the team and with stakeholders. Candidates should demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills, a solution-oriented mindset, and the capacity to quickly grasp complex data concepts. Technical expertise should include strong DevOps skills (Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, monitoring), experience with data modeling, and cloud platforms like AWS. Proficiency in SQL, TypeScript, and Python is essential, while knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, MLOps, and Big Data technologies such as Hadoop is a plus.
