About The Role
We are seeking a skilled IT-Systemadministrator (m/w/d) with expertise in Linux and Windows environments to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of servers, networks, and user workstations. You will serve as the primary technical support point for our staff, both on-site and remote, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT systems. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold an completed IT apprenticeship or degree, such as Fachinformatiker/-in, with at least 2-3 years of professional experience in system administration. Proven experience in managing Linux and Microsoft Windows server and client environments is essential. Familiarity with firewall configuration, preferably with Sophos or similar technologies, and insight into mail server setup—ideally with Zimbra Collaboration Suite or comparable systems—is required. Additional experience with backup solutions like Acronis and virtualization platforms such as KVM or Hyper-V is advantageous. Excellent communication skills in German, both spoken and written, along with a responsible, independent, and service-oriented work approach, are critical. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Germany and be based in or able to regularly commute to the Rhein-Main area.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include managing and administering our Ubuntu and Suse Linux servers, as well as Windows server and client systems. You will support the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, network infrastructure, mail servers, and printers to ensure optimal performance and security. Regularly updating and documenting the IT infrastructure, including backups, forms a core part of your role. You will also be responsible for setting up workstations, installing hardware, performing minor repairs, and deploying operating systems and software for staff members. As the primary technical support contact, you will assist employees both on-site and remotely, ensuring smooth daily operations. Additionally, you will oversee license management, particularly for Windows applications, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our IT environment.
