About The Role

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer & PQL Developer (m/w/d) to join our Output-Management team, focusing on the enhancement and stabilization of our output management systems. In this role, you will be instrumental in professionalizing the output management (OPM) infrastructure of SIGNAL IDUNA, ensuring smooth and reliable operations. Your primary responsibility will be managing a core system within a modern operational platform, specifically working with the Papyrus software by ISIS, which is integral to our output management processes. You will be responsible for the integration, operation, and continuous optimization of this system, including customizing and extending its functionalities to meet evolving business needs. As part of an agile squad, you will also work with proprietary microservices supporting Papyrus, gaining comprehensive insights into their interactions and ensuring seamless system performance. Your expertise in cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), will be vital for designing scalable, future-proof architectures and managing the deployment and administration of Papyrus in cloud environments. Additionally, you will explore innovative applications of SI's AI capabilities to enhance output management solutions, contributing to strategic projects that shape the company's technological landscape.

Qualifications

• A university degree in (Business) Informatics, IT-related apprenticeship, or comparable practical experience.
• Initial experience with configuring and operating cloud environments, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in managing third-party software, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Strong programming skills in Java, PQL, Spring, with optional knowledge of Angular and Python; experience in building microservices using REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as Google Cloud Functions, Terraform, Jenkins, testing frameworks (JUnit, Jest, Cypress), Splunk, Grafana, and Gitlab, or a willingness to learn.
• Understanding of Clean Code principles, agile methodologies, and a collaborative team spirit. Motivation to learn new architectures and technologies.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Ensure a high-quality, stable operation of output management systems through lifecycle management, patching, and customizing to optimize user experience.
• Take technical ownership of the product, monitor vendor updates, and develop necessary extensions to meet user requirements.
• Utilize Google Cloud and tools like Splunk and Grafana to implement comprehensive monitoring solutions, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Design and implement scalable, future-proof architectures for output management leveraging Google Cloud technologies.
• Administer Papyrus within the Google Cloud environment and develop scenarios to incorporate SI's AI innovations into output management processes.
• Conceive and develop robust connectors to integrate Papyrus into a comprehensive insurance-specific enterprise architecture.
