Data Engineer | Hybrid
We're hiring for a leading fintech company specializing in payments, dunning, invoicing, and collections. This employer is at the forefront of digital innovation in financial services, utilizing robust data solutions to enhance their offerings and impact.
The Role
• Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality data pipelines and data products.
• Build and scale a high-performing data engineering team, transforming raw data into trusted assets.
• Accountable for the contributions of the data engineering discipline within an agile data product model.
• Define and execute the data engineering vision and roadmap, aligning with overall Data, AI & Analytics strategy.
• Oversee the development of robust ETL/ELT pipelines and ensure strong data modeling practices.
• Implement data quality frameworks and promote proactive data reliability engineering.
What You'll Need
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with 3-5 years in a leadership role managing multi-team delivery.
• Proven success in leading data engineering functions within agile, cross-functional data product teams.
• Strong technical expertise in Azure, SQL, Python, dbt, Airflow, and Spark.
• Deep experience with cloud-based data lakehouses (Azure, Databricks Medallion architecture).
• Expertise in data modeling, transformation, and quality assurance for various use cases.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly in cross-functional agile environments.
