About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer specializing in UI development with expertise in Java for our Leitstellensoftware (control center software) team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and enhancing the graphical user interface of our software solutions used by transportation operators. Your work will directly influence the usability, efficiency, and reliability of our systems, supporting the seamless operation of public transportation services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology within an agile environment, contributing to the digital transformation of the mobility sector.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a technical degree or a comparable qualification in IT or related fields. You should have a solid foundation in Java programming, with hands-on experience in JavaFX, Eclipse RCP, or EMF. A keen interest in software architecture and system design is advantageous, along with experience in cloud-based implementations. Strong communication skills in both German and English are essential for effective collaboration within international teams. Creativity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to think outside the box are highly valued traits for this role.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and maintenance.
- Design and develop intuitive and user-friendly graphical interfaces for our control center applications, ensuring optimal user experience for transportation operators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine use cases, translating them into functional UI components.
- Develop JavaFX components integrated into our Eclipse RCP-based applications, ensuring modularity and reusability.
- Contribute actively to agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain data connectivity and integration points necessary for real-time operation and system responsiveness.
- Engage in architectural discussions and contribute ideas for scalable, maintainable, and innovative software solutions.
