About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Professional Platform & Linux Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic IT team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of our Linux and infrastructure platforms that support our extensive e-commerce operations. Your primary focus will be on maintaining system stability, optimizing performance, and implementing comprehensive monitoring solutions. You will work closely with development and DevOps teams to ensure our systems are scalable, resilient, and efficient. As a technical anchor in the operational environment, you will be instrumental in troubleshooting issues, performing routine backups, and managing platform upgrades. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering a seamless shopping experience for millions of customers while ensuring our infrastructure remains secure and compliant with industry standards.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration and platform operations, with several years of professional experience. You should possess excellent knowledge of Linux distributions such as Debian and Rocky, along with a solid understanding of database management, particularly MySQL and Percona. Familiarity with virtualization technologies like Proxmox VE, as well as experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, is essential. You should have a good grasp of network infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches. Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix, backup strategies, and incident management is required. A proactive, structured approach to work, combined with excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset, are key attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Operate, administer, and develop Linux server environments (Mint, Debian, Rocky) to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Manage configuration and deployment processes using Puppet, including maintaining central platform services such as GitLab and DNS.
• Implement and oversee virtualization solutions with Proxmox VE, including backup management and disaster recovery planning.
• Enhance and maintain monitoring systems (Zabbix), ensuring high availability and early detection of system issues.
• Conduct regular restore tests and support incident, problem, and change management procedures to minimize downtime.
• Operate and optimize business-critical databases such as Percona MySQL, analyzing performance metrics and applying tuning measures.
• Administer network infrastructure components, including firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs, to ensure secure connectivity.
• Maintain and support central infrastructure services like Zimbra and other business platforms.
• Act as a technical point of contact for specific platform and infrastructure components, providing expert guidance and support.
• Ensure system stability, security, and comprehensive documentation in collaboration with the Tech Lead DevOps & Platform.
