About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated IT-System Engineer specializing in Infrastructure and Cloud to join our team at the Stuttgart headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stable, secure, and high-performance operation of our entire IT infrastructure. Your expertise will be pivotal in managing server environments, virtualization platforms, network security, and cloud services. You will actively participate in the ongoing development of our system landscape, drive automation initiatives, enhance IT security measures, and lead various infrastructure projects and migrations. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a completed vocational training as an IT specialist or a degree in Computer Science. You should have several years of professional experience as an IT-System Engineer or IT-System Administrator, with a strong background in hybrid environments combining on-premises and cloud solutions. Proficiency in managing Windows Server environments (2019-2025), Linux administration (e.g., Ubuntu, Debian), and active directory services (AD DS, GPOs, DNS, DHCP) is essential. Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Azure AD/Entra ID, and automation scripting with PowerShell and Bash is required. You should be familiar with virtualization technologies such as Proxmox and VMware, network administration including VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls, and backup & recovery strategies using tools like Veeam. Basic understanding of container technologies and database systems (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) is also necessary. Additionally, strong analytical, independent, and solutions-oriented working skills, along with excellent communication skills in German (minimum B2 level), are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate Windows (2019/2025) and Linux (Ubuntu) servers, ensuring optimal performance of core infrastructure services such as file services, DNS, DHCP, web services, and Remote Desktop Services.
• Oversee and develop virtualization environments using Proxmox and VMware, and manage cloud infrastructure including IaaS platforms and Azure cloud services.
• Ensure the security of IT systems by implementing and maintaining security measures, and administer network infrastructure including LAN, WLAN, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and network segmentation.
• Develop and optimize backup and disaster recovery strategies utilizing Veeam, including immutable storage, offsite replication, and cloud backups.
• Support and maintain central application servers and database systems, ensuring their stability and performance.
• Monitor and analyze the health of the IT infrastructure using monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Automate routine processes and continuously improve system efficiency and reliability through scripting and process optimization.
• Plan and execute infrastructure projects, system migrations, and upgrades to support organizational growth and technological advancement.
• Provide second and third-level support for IT-related queries, troubleshooting complex issues to maintain operational continuity.
