About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer / Datenbankentwickler (m/w/d) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing our BI solution RUBI and the inpraxi-Kennzahlenwelt. You will work closely with internal teams to analyze requirements, develop data models, optimize database performance, and ensure the stability and reliability of our data infrastructure. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a completed IT apprenticeship or a comparable qualification, along with substantial practical experience in data, BI, or database environments. A degree in computer science, business informatics, business administration with an IT focus, or a related field is also highly regarded. You should have strong knowledge of MySQL and SQL, with experience in data modeling and ETL pipeline development. Programming skills in Python are essential, with C being an advantage. Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, server access, and VPNs is required. You should demonstrate a structured, process-oriented working style and an understanding of building stable, maintainable systems. Proficiency in German is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the backend of our BI solution RUBI and the underlying database structure of inpraxi-Kennzahlenwelt.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into clean data models, KPI systems, and reports.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize database and pipeline performance to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Design, program, and oversee ETL processes and import scripts using Python, with optional C coding.
- Integrate external data sources and ensure operational stability, maintainability, and robust error handling.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to provide accurate and meaningful key figures for clients and consultants.
