About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Software Developer specializing in C++ to join our Space Systems team at our headquarters in Planegg-Martinsried near Munich. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing reliable, high-performance software for satellite applications and ground-based systems. Your work will contribute to the advancement of space technologies, supporting critical missions and innovative projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define software requirements, design system architecture, and implement solutions that meet stringent quality and safety standards. Your expertise will also be essential in ensuring software quality through rigorous assurance measures and maintaining comprehensive documentation to support ongoing development and compliance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field. Demonstrable experience in developing clean, efficient, and reusable C++ code is essential. Practical knowledge of the aerospace environment, particularly in requirements management and system analysis, is highly desirable. Candidates should have experience in deriving software requirements, designing software architecture, interface design, and specifications, along with verification processes. Familiarity with bus systems and networks such as CAN, SPI, RS232, and Ethernet is required. Knowledge of control engineering, including controllers and filters, is advantageous. Proficiency in both German and English, spoken and written, is necessary for effective communication within our international team.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, reliable C++ code for satellite and ground-based applications, ensuring performance and robustness.
- Conduct software requirements engineering at the Technical Specification (TS) level and participate in co-engineering activities at the Requirements Baseline (RB) level.
- Contribute to the development of software architecture, including design and implementation of system modules.
- Implement software product assurance measures, such as static code analysis, process monitoring, and process optimization to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for all software development activities to support traceability, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
