About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Software Engineer (m/w/d) with a focus on Financial Accounting (FI) to join our IT team at the Hagen location. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and implementing innovative SAP solutions that support our business processes and enhance our digital capabilities. Your expertise will contribute to complex software development projects, ensuring that our SAP systems are optimized for performance, integration, and future growth. You will be responsible for maintaining existing SAP systems, implementing new functionalities, and supporting the transition to S/4HANA. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders will be essential as you develop web services, customize SAP modules, and contribute to the transformation of our SAP landscape. Your work will directly impact Thalia’s ability to deliver exceptional customer service and streamline internal operations through cutting-edge SAP technology.
Qualifications
- Completed university degree or vocational training in IT, Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Extensive professional experience in SAP environment, particularly in object-oriented ABAP development
- Proven expertise in SAP development, especially with ABAP, Fiori, SAPUI5, and SAP HANA
- Experience in implementing and customizing SAP systems, including modules like SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW
- Knowledge of SAP Webservices, REST APIs, and system integration
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA transformation projects
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Positive mindset, team-oriented attitude, and enthusiasm for new technologies
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance complex IT services using latest technologies such as SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, OData-Services, and SAP HANA
- Maintain and continuously improve existing SAP systems to optimize performance and functionality
- Ensure seamless integration of SAP solutions with other IT systems and applications
- Create and consume web services (e.g., REST APIs) within and outside the Thalia ecosystem
- Participate in S/4HANA transformation projects, especially in the FI module
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor SAP solutions to business needs
- Support troubleshooting, system updates, and performance tuning of SAP environments
- Document development processes and system configurations for knowledge sharing and compliance
