About The Role
As a Software Deployment Engineer in Data Analytics at INIT Group, you will play a crucial role within our team dedicated to developing and deploying solutions for automatic passenger counting and data analysis in public transportation. Your primary responsibility will be to support the deployment, integration, and maintenance of our sophisticated software systems that analyze historical and real-time data to optimize public transit operations. This position involves close collaboration with international transit agencies, development teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation and continuous improvement of our solutions. You will be instrumental in managing software rollouts, performing system tests, and ensuring comprehensive documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and operational excellence.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess a solid background in IT, either through formal education such as a degree in computer science, information technology, or related fields, or through practical experience gained in professional settings. A strong affinity for data analysis and problem-solving is essential. Proficiency in SQL, especially within an Oracle environment, is required, along with a basic understanding of server configurations, including clustering and virtual machines. Familiarity with scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Java, and PL/SQL is highly desirable. Additionally, experience with cloud technologies, real-time data processing, and CI/CD pipelines will be advantageous. Fluency in both German and English is necessary to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients across different regions. A proactive team-oriented mindset and willingness to share knowledge are key attributes for this position.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact for national and international transit agencies during the deployment and utilization of our data analytics software solutions.
- Plan and coordinate the delivery of software installations, updates, and patches across complex customer environments, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
- Manage software migrations within customer projects, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to project timelines.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of deployment activities, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures within our ticketing system JIRA and Knowledge Database Confluence to support knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Perform functionality testing of deployed software, identify and analyze errors, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues, including code-level troubleshooting when necessary.
- Engage in continuous learning and knowledge transfer by working closely with team members and cross-departmental colleagues to improve deployment processes and tools.
- Contribute to the automation and optimization of deployment workflows, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
