Only nearshore resources are permitted. (We are seeking remote freelance talent based in Europe, excluding Germany.)

Project Overview
Background
As part of the strategic COMET program, we implementing a central Customer Data Platform (CDP) to consolidate customer data and enable personalized, data-driven customer interactions across channels. The program aims to scale high-value use cases and establish a 360° customer view.
Objective of the Assignment
The objective is to bridge the temporary resource gap by an external Salesforce Data Cloud Developer who will:
- Ensure stable and continuous operation of the CDP
- Maintain progress on ongoing implementations and migrations
- Prevent delays in prioritized use cases
Project Integration
- Embedded within the CDP / Use Case Factory Team (implementation & scaling streams)
- Working within established tools and processes (e.g. Jira, Confluence, MS Teams)
- Operating in a hybrid delivery model

Technical Implementation & Operations
- Development and maintenance of the Salesforce Data Cloud environment
- Coachings for data integration from source systems into the CDP
- Ensuring data availability, reliability, and quality
Use Case Implementation
- Consulting in defining technical requirements and data models
- Contribution to testing activities (SIT/UAT) and bug fixing
Collaboration & Setup
- Collaboration with Product Owner, CRM, Data Analytics, and IT teams
- Occasional participation in Planning and Reviews
- Documentation of developments and structured knowledge transfer to internal resources
Data Integration
- Connect and ingest data from multiple sources (CRM, external systems, APIs, data warehouses)
- Configure data streams and pipelines into Salesforce Data Cloud
- Data Modeling
- Design and maintain data models (data lake objects, unified data model)
- Map source data to standardized schemas within Data Cloud
- Identity Resolution
- Configure rules to unify customer data from different systems
- Build and maintain unified customer profiles (golden records)
- Data Transformation
- Create calculated insights, transformations, and data enrichments
- Clean, deduplicate, and standardize incoming datasets
- API & Integration Development
- Use APIs (REST, MuleSoft, etc.) to integrate Data Cloud with external systems
- Enable real-time data exchange between platforms
- Performance & Governance
- Monitor data ingestion performance and optimize pipelines
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR)
