We are looking for a
Java Developer to strengthen application security by remediating vulnerabilities and maintaining established enterprise systems. You will work on backend improvements, dependency upgrades, and secure coding practices while collaborating with a distributed team.
Responsibilities
- Analyze security findings and identify vulnerabilities across applications
- Implement secure code fixes in Java and Spring Boot without breaking core functionality
- Investigate existing code paths to determine safe and maintainable remediation approaches
- Upgrade vulnerable libraries and dependencies and resolve compatibility issues
- Build and maintain backend features and REST APIs in line with secure development practices
- Troubleshoot issues introduced by security fixes and dependency updates
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and validation of implemented fixes
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to align on remediation priorities
- Contribute to front-end updates when needed if Angular is used
- Improve overall security posture and technical quality through continuous improvement
Requirements
- 2+ years of commercial Java development experience
- Strong Spring Boot and Spring Framework expertise
- Proven experience with enterprise applications and legacy codebases
- Solid REST API and backend development knowledge
- Good understanding of common security vulnerabilities and secure coding practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Upper-Intermediate English (B2) proficiency and clear communication skills
Nice to have
- Angular experience
- Hands-on experience in security vulnerability remediation projects
- Familiarity with security scanning and static analysis tools
- Experience maintaining or modernizing large enterprise applications
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
