About The Role
In this role, you will contribute to building cloud-based healthcare solutions that help ambulatory surgery centers improve operational efficiency and patient care. Working with modern Ruby and React technologies, you will help develop scalable products used to streamline scheduling, billing, case coordination, and integrations with external healthcare platforms within a collaborative Agile team environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain back-end services and application features using Ruby on Rails to support scalable healthcare solutions
- Design, implement, and enhance APIs and integrations with external healthcare and third-party platforms
- Collaborate closely with front-end engineers, QA specialists, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver reliable product functionality
- Build and improve responsive Web UI components using React to support smooth user experiences
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and data structures for performance and scalability
- Contribute to cloud-based infrastructure and application improvements using AWS services and Elasticsearch
- Review business and technical requirements to translate product needs into practical engineering solutions
- Take ownership of assigned tasks throughout the full development lifecycle, including implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Ruby development and Ruby on Rails for 2+ years in commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database schema design and query optimization
- Practical experience with React and modern Web UI development approaches
- Familiarity with REST API development and integrations with external systems or services
- Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum software development practices
- Practical exposure to AWS services and Elasticsearch in production or development environments
- Understanding of software engineering best practices, including code quality, maintainability, and collaboration workflows
- Upper-intermediate or higher English level for daily communication in an international environment
- Exposure to Next.js development as an additional advantage
