About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Intermediate Data Analyst to join our dynamic Training team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, and delivering modern data solutions that support crew training, mission analysis, and operational decision-making for maritime projects. Your primary responsibilities will include database design, data architecture, and creating user-friendly frontend interfaces that facilitate reliable and transparent analytical products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, contributing to projects that directly impact naval operations and personnel training. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, to ensure data security, governance, and quality standards are upheld while providing innovative solutions to complex data challenges.
Qualifications
- BSc or BA in Data and Information Management, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Applied Computer Science, or related disciplines
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing large datasets within databases
- Proficiency in using C# within a .NET framework for developing user interfaces connected to SQL databases
- Experience applying analytical techniques, modeling, simulation, or information systems in project environments
- Strong documentation skills related to data design, processes, and analytical outputs
- Advanced computer skills including VBA, SQL, macros, and scripting
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
- Ability to translate operational and analytical needs into practical data solutions
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Comfort working in structured, governed data environments
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain project databases to support analysis and training deliverables
- Define data structures, relationships, and workflows to support current and future analytical needs
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources, including technical information requests
- Manage data processing, cleaning, validation, documentation, and ongoing database maintenance
- Design and develop intuitive frontend user interfaces to enable data exploration and decision support
- Conduct statistical analysis, modeling, and simulation related to shipboard crew composition and task allocation
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, to ensure solutions adhere to data security and governance standards
- Identify data gaps, dependencies, risks, and inconsistencies, and contribute to practical mitigation strategies
- Document data processes, analytical methodologies, and system architectures clearly and comprehensively
