What you will be doing in the role of Application Engineering, Engineered Solutions:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand application requirements and recommend optimal products.
- Perform technical calculations and analysis, and troubleshoot process or product issues.
- Ensure seamless order execution from quotation through final shipment.
- Drive customer follow-up to maximize conversion and strengthen relationships.
- Leverage CRM tools to track and manage sales activities effectively.
- Deliver tailored solutions by building trusted partnerships with customers.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities during technical discussions.
- Serve as a technical liaison through in-person meetings, calls, and email communication.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop and execute strategies that drive bookings growth.
- Define technical scope of work with customers and sales, including specifications, compliance tables, and conceptual designs.
- Review RFQs and customer documentation to establish proposal foundations.
- Prepare comprehensive proposals detailing scope, execution plans, equipment supply, engineering services, and commissioning/start-up.
- Develop vendor relationships and ensure compliance with customer and code requirements.
- Partner with Engineering to create solution concepts and support detailed sizing and selection of valves and instrumentation.
- Maintain knowledge of design and construction codes (e.g., ASME B31, CSA B149 series) to assess impacts on scope and design.
Other Duties

- Providing customer education (schools and seminars)
Knowledge and skills required for the role:
- University Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- One to Five (1-5) years’ experience in the field
