About The Role

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team of over 100 Data & BI Engineers working on our flagship Audience Intelligence Platform. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our state-of-the-art data management and analytics platform tailored for the sports industry. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and optimizing scalable data solutions using cutting-edge technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Function Apps, primarily utilizing Python. You will collaborate closely with product and marketing teams to deliver high-impact data products and insights, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our data pipelines. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative projects that directly influence how sports organizations understand and engage with their fans, contributing to industry-leading solutions that shape the future of sports analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and testing solutions within a data lakehouse environment
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data processing and analytics
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including ADF, Databricks, and Function Apps
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps or similar tools
• Strong SQL skills for querying and managing data
• Ability to adhere to established development frameworks and coding standards
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong teamwork skills with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from others
• Proactive attitude with a passion for continuous learning and professional growth

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and development frameworks
• Monitor and optimize data workflows, ensuring performance and scalability enhancements
• Implement continuous improvements to data pipelines and workflows, adopting innovative approaches
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high standards of quality
