Our client is a growing BC-based nonprofit organization focused on improving food security for children and families across the province.

Working alongside schools, volunteers, donors, and community partners, the organization delivers practical, community-based programming designed to ensure children have reliable access to nutritious food outside of traditional school supports.

The Opportunity

This is a role for someone who wants to do more than administer programs - it’s about helping shape how they evolve, scale, and create impact.

As Program Manager, you’ll provide strategic and operational leadership across established community programs, working closely with schools, community partners, volunteers, and internal teams to ensure programs are effective, sustainable, and positioned for growth.

You’ll develop frameworks that bring greater consistency and scalability while maintaining the flexibility needed to respond to different communities. You’ll also use data, feedback, and on-the-ground insight to identify opportunities, solve problems, and continuously improve how programs are delivered.

What You’ll Own

• Lead the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of community-based programs
• Build scalable, repeatable program models that can be adapted to different communities and local needs
• Develop frameworks, processes, tools, and resources that strengthen program delivery and support growth
• Build strong relationships with schools, community organizations, volunteers, funders, and other partners
• Use program data, community feedback, and emerging needs to identify opportunities for improvement and expansion
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Partnerships, Procurement, Fundraising, and volunteer teams to align resources with program requirements
• Oversee weekly program delivery, proactively resolving challenges and ensuring operational targets are met
• Manage program agreements, waitlists, access requirements, and recommendations for future expansion
• Support impact reporting and storytelling by connecting program outcomes with meaningful community insights and examples

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience in program management, program development, community engagement, or a related field
• Experience managing programs across multiple communities, sites, or stakeholder groups
• Proven ability to build scalable programs, processes, frameworks, or operating models
• Strong understanding of community-based programming and partnership development
• Excellent strategic thinking with the ability to move comfortably between big-picture planning and operational execution
• Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills
• A creative, entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Experience leading, coaching, or managing staff
• A collaborative, hands-on approach and genuine interest in mission-driven work

Compensation & Total Rewards

• Base salary target: $75,000 – $85,000
• Three weeks vacation
• Two additional weeks of paid organizational shutdown time annually (for a total of 5 weeks vacation!)

Compensation at the lower end applies to individuals developing core competencies, while higher compensation is associated with demonstrated expertise and sustained performance. Final offers are determined by the client based on candidate experience and organizational requirements.
