About The Role
As the Lead Full Stack Engineer at CoverGo, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our SaaS platform. Your responsibilities will include guiding the technical direction of the development team, designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and robust insurance software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into high-quality technical solutions that deliver an exceptional user experience.
This leadership position involves mentoring junior developers, driving innovation, and ensuring best practices in coding, security, and performance. You will be instrumental in maintaining platform reliability, optimizing application performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your expertise will help us stay at the forefront of technology, enabling us to meet the evolving needs of our global client base.
Qualifications
- Proven experience of 8+ years as a Full Stack Engineer, with a demonstrated history of leading complex SaaS applications
- Minimum of 2 years in a lead or managerial role, guiding and developing development teams
- Strong proficiency in back-end technologies such as .NET Core, C#, GraphQL, MongoDB, and Docker
- Solid experience with front-end frameworks including JavaScript, Vue.js, and/or React.js
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying scalable applications
- Experience with microservices architecture and clean architecture principles
- Practical knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and experience with unit, integration, and functional testing
- Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles for modular and maintainable architecture
- Deep understanding of web security best practices and compliance standards
- Proficiency in performance optimization for high-traffic applications
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and cloud infrastructure management
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative team environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive troubleshooting abilities
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams
- A passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our SaaS insurance platform, providing technical guidance to the team
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices within the team
- Identify, investigate, and resolve bugs and performance issues promptly
- Ensure platform security and regulatory compliance through adherence to industry standards
- Stay updated on the latest technological advancements and incorporate relevant innovations into the platform
- Design the platform architecture with scalability and flexibility to accommodate future growth and feature expansion
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features
