The problems we solve are complex, distributed, and high-scale, requiring strong system design skills, pragmatic decision-making, and a deep understanding of backend architecture.

We work across industries such as Logistics, FinTech, Transportation, Insurance, Media, and other highly regulated or data-intensive environments.

We’re looking for engineers who thrive in ambiguity, value clean architecture, and enjoy building resilient systems that scale.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in Java (technical assessment required)
• Strong experience with Clojure and/or Grails (Groovy)
• Deep understanding of the JVM ecosystem
• Experience building RESTful and/or event-driven systems
• Experience working with Kafka or similar messaging/event streaming platforms
• Experience designing scalable, distributed systems
• Familiarity with functional programming principles (immutability, pure functions, concurrency models)
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred: ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
• Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• English fluency, verbal and written

Salary

Salary range: CA$80,000 - CA$116,000 annually, with final compensation determined by your qualifications, expertise, experience, and the role's scope.

Location:

This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be based in regions that align with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with client and team schedules.

Position Details

This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
