The Company

We design, develop, and distribute PxPlus Development Suite, a feature-rich and platform-agnostic development language. The base salary change for this role is $65,000-$70,000 annually.
POSITION
The Software Developer is responsible for designing and implementing complex software solutions and development tools that deliver high performance while meeting our clients’ business requirements. This role also involves contributing to the testing and quality assurance of PVX Plus products to ensure reliability and excellence.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs and implements clean, modular, and reusable code
- Contributes to application architecture, design decisions, and requirements definition
- Develops and executes unit tests, and supports broader quality assurance and testing activities
- Produces and maintains clear, accurate technical documentation
- Participates in ad hoc initiatives and special projects as required
- Collaborates effectively with cross-functional team members to deliver departmental and project objectives
- Communicates proactively with management on development progress, timelines, and project status
- Prepares and delivers technical presentations for conferences, trade shows, and other external events
- Learns and applies PxPlus and the PxPlus Development Suite as part of ongoing development work
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in a software development environment, with a strong emphasis on complex business and web-based applications, and a proven track record of successful development delivery
- Proficiency with a range of programming languages and development tools, including C, C++, C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript, Python, and Visual Studio Code
- Strong understanding of web technologies and interface design, including HTML, CSS, JSON, and XML
- Knowledgeable with SQL-based databases
- Proficiency with version control systems like Subversion and Git
- Experience with Windows and Linux – Installing, Command Line familiarity
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Familiarity with PxPlus and ProvideX is an asset
