At Gateway, we’re building the future of operational technology, and we’re looking for a Solution Architect to help lead the evolution of our core platform, Paws eTrack.

What You’ll Do
As our Solution Architect, you’ll be the architectural backbone of Paws eTrack and its surrounding ecosystem. You’ll:
- Own and evolve the architecture roadmap for a scalable, secure, and high-performing platform
- Design modern integrations across ERP, CRM, logistics, workforce systems, and external partners
- Champion API-first and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, etc.)
- Guide data strategies across SQL & NoSQLenvironments
- Identify and mitigate technical debt and architectural risks
- Partner with Engineering, Product, IT, and operational teams to deliver real-world solutions
What You Bring
- 5–8 years in software engineering, systems design, or solution architecture
- Experience with enterprise integrations and distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microservices & modern web architectures
- Messaging systems & asynchronous processing
- Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Relational + NoSQL databases
- Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences

Work Environment
- Hybrid role based in Guelph, Ontario
- Occasional travel to Care Centres to connect architecture with real-world workflows
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent hands-on experience in enterprise architecture is equally valued
