About The Role

The Canadian Wildlife Federation is seeking a dedicated Data Analyst to join our team, reporting directly to the Manager of Data Science & Web Development. This role is crucial in enhancing our donor engagement and supporting conservation projects through data-driven insights. The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing visualizations, and providing actionable recommendations to optimize fundraising strategies and conservation efforts.

This position involves managing data operations, including data collection, integration, and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of data across various platforms. The successful candidate will support organizational decision-making by generating reports, maintaining documentation, and providing user support related to data management. The role offers flexibility to work remotely or from our Ottawa office, with an annual salary range of $56,265 to $70,311, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Environmental Studies, Science, or a related field
• Experience with data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools
• Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data management platforms such as Salesforce (including Non-profit Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud)
• Knowledge of data privacy, security, and governance frameworks
• Experience with predictive modeling and machine learning techniques is an asset
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Responsibilities

• Utilize statistical methods and data visualization techniques to analyze datasets and interpret findings
• Provide insights and strategic recommendations to support fundraising initiatives and conservation projects
• Analyze donor data to identify trends, opportunities for engagement, and retention strategies
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for campaign execution and reporting
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and integrity across all systems and outputs
• Support data extraction, transformation, and integration processes across various platforms
• Maintain quality control over data entries in systems such as Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce
• Generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to diverse audiences
• Provide training and technical support to users regarding data tools and processes
• Develop and update documentation, including data dictionaries and workflows, to ensure reproducibility and clarity
