About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Lead Data Engineer to join our team. In this advanced individual contributor role, you will spearhead the development of sophisticated, insightful, and visually compelling reporting solutions utilizing tools such as DBT, Snowflake, Claude.AI, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint. A key aspect of this position involves pioneering the integration of advanced AI solutions into our reporting processes to significantly enhance data‑driven decision‑making for our stakeholders. You will collaborate strategically with diverse stakeholders to ensure our reporting solutions effectively address complex business needs. Your leadership will be vital in designing, developing, and maintaining complex data pipelines and frameworks, as well as providing mentorship to team members and stakeholders, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in data analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field
• Master’s degree is a strong plus
• 8+ years of progressive experience in data engineering or similar roles
• Proficiency in DBT, SQL, Alteryx, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Hands-on experience designing and operationalizing AI solutions and machine learning algorithms
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing abilities
• Proven leadership in technical initiatives and mentoring capabilities
• Advanced programming skills in Python or R
• Expertise in SQL, Snowflake, and DBT for complex data manipulation and query optimization
• Deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance principles
• Experience with emerging AI technologies such as Claude.AI, Copilot, and large language models (LLMs)
• Strategic mindset with the ability to connect data insights to business outcomes
  
  

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, development, design, and maintenance of complex, interactive data pipelines, frameworks, and dashboards using DBT, SQL, Python, Claude.AI, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Partner strategically with senior stakeholders to define reporting needs and deliver actionable insights
• Champion and integrate advanced AI and machine learning techniques to innovate reporting solutions and provide predictive and prescriptive insights
• Conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies informing strategic decisions
• Establish and enforce best practices for data integrity, accuracy, and governance across all reporting solutions
• Mentor team members and stakeholders on analytical methodologies, reporting tools, and emerging AI technologies
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for reporting processes and tools, researching industry trends and technological advancements
• Communicate complex findings and strategic recommendations effectively to executive leadership through presentations and reports
• Manage data projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards
• Serve as a subject-matter expert and escalation point for data analysis and reporting issues
