Solid Furniture Retail Experience, Growth Potential Exists
Pros: The team environment at EQ3 is a definite plus; everyone generally pitches in and supports each other, especially during busy periods. I appreciated the opportunity to learn about modern furniture design and build my sales skills in a hands-on retail setting. The products themselves are high quality, which makes selling easier.
Cons: Career growth opportunities felt somewhat limited, especially for entry-level roles in a specific store location. While you can learn a lot, formal training programs for advancement aren't always clear. The pay and benefits package is standard for the industry but doesn't stand out significantly compared to other retail positions.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing clearer, more structured career progression paths for retail staff. Offering advanced sales or design training could help retain motivated employees and foster growth from within the company. This would really boost morale and commitment.

Solid retail experience with a focus on design
Pros: The team culture here is a definite plus. We often supported each other, which made busy sales periods manageable. I appreciated the exposure to modern furniture design and the opportunity to help customers create beautiful spaces. The showroom in Montreal is well-maintained, and the products are high-quality, which makes selling easier.
Cons: While the team is great, communication from upper management could sometimes be clearer, especially regarding new promotions or policy updates. Workload can feel intense during peak seasons or sales events, leading to longer days. Some processes, like inventory checks, could be streamlined to improve efficiency.
Advice to Management: Continue fostering the collaborative team spirit that makes the workplace enjoyable. Consider implementing more frequent and transparent communication channels for updates and operational changes to ensure everyone is on the same page. Streamlining certain internal processes would also boost

Solid retail experience, room for growth needed
Pros: I enjoyed the team environment and the collaborative spirit among colleagues. The products are high quality and it's rewarding to help customers find pieces for their homes. Good exposure to interior design trends and sales techniques within the furniture retail sector.
Cons: While the base pay is okay, commission structures could be more motivating. Career progression felt slow; opportunities for promotion or taking on more responsibility were limited without external moves. Management is approachable but sometimes lacks strategic clarity.
Advice to Management: Consider developing clearer career paths and more performance-based incentives to retain talent and foster growth within the company. More structured training would also be beneficial.
