RESPONSIBILITIES
This role within commissioning is responsible for working across and delivering independent and in-house commissions for Chinese (primary) and English (secondary) unscripted content.
This role is important to delivering our strategy, working with both In-House Studio and the External Production Houses to commission content based on a deep understanding of audience needs. The ability to commission across platforms as we move to an ever-digital world will be critical in the way audiences experience what Mediacorp has to offer.
Responsibilities
You'll ensure that priorities and editorial strategy are aligned, also inspire and engage in-house and independent producers by articulating your editorial priorities, and work with them to create and develop ideas that meet our audiences' needs. Job Description & Requirements
Knowledge of PHP/MySQL.
Experience developing in PHP, which requires integration with databases such as MySQL.
Experience programming in HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.
Experience in WordPress development is a plus.
Must be able to understand and use development frameworks.
Must be able to follow inhouse programming standards.
Business requirements analysis ability is a plus.
Able to estimate task effort to support project scheduling.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Strong desire to develop new technical knowledge and professional skills on a continual basis.
Ability to work with only general supervision.
Ability to adjust to change and demands on time.
Ability to supporting sales on technical demonstration of system (if needed).
Ability to give system training to customer (if needed).
Ability to work well independently and with others.
Expectations:
1. Development of robust and user-friendly PHP-based web applications
2. Creation of site layout/user interface from provided design concepts
3. Ability to work independently on projects without detailed instructions; taking the initiative with this job is important.
4. Routine daily maintenance of existing sites and web applications.
