About the Role

Responsible for timely completion of accounting and reporting within the statutory requirements and guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurate and timely submission of monthly/quarterly/yearly local statutory returns to BNM and other regulatory reporting requirements, including audited financial statements.

• Perform review on the variance analysis of the financial results pertaining to reporting to local management and statutory bodies.

About the Role

• Administers and handles the Agency Contest R&Rs, Agency Compensation Handbook and other policy management related documents/publications to support the business requirements.
• Handles the fulfillment of the Agency Contest’s monetary (Payment Advise) and non-monetary fulfillment to ensure contest fulfilment is delivered to the qualifiers.
• Performs data analysis for all scopes relating but not limited to contest, competitor launches, agency office projects, workstream projects and any other projects in accordance to the business needs.
• Improve and administers reporting and/or analysis to better support Agency Related Expenses (ARE) efficiency.

Agency Related Expenses (ARE) Management:

Budget

• Collaborates with executives, Finance and Management to develop ARE budget.
• Provide analysis and strategic input to facilitate high level decision making by Management.

ARE Reporting & Monitoring

• Monitor spending to ensure it support the financial and sales target set by Management.
• Conduct analysis, initiate, or recommend appropriate actions to ARE stakeholders, aiming to:
• identify financial or operating risks associated with the ARE.
• provide projection, cost benefit analysis, reports to Management as required or requested.
• Ensure all BAU reporting are submitted timely and accurately.

Cross Charging

• Formulate cross-charging mechanism to APTB and other business units for ARE related charges.

Ad-hoc and regulators

• Provide support to ARE queries raised by auditor, regulators, Management or other stakeholders.

Data Analytics:

• Support in analysis work to close any business gap and help to drive the business further.
• Connect with business stakeholders on the analysis findings.
• Using both quantitative and qualitative data to support the Team to formulate initiatives to drive the business further.

Job Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification from an accredited university in Finance/ Accounting/ Actuarial or equivalent.

• Perform health checks and monitor automated system and application alerts, resolving issues where possible.  

• Learn new technologies and acquire new skills to cater to the changing demands. 

• Any other ad-hoc tasks.  

• Solid technical knowledge in Windows (10,11, Server), Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, MS Teams, MDM, MAM, Auto Pilot, Intune, JAMF, Microsoft Virtual Desktop, Citrix XenApp, and Monitoring tools. 

• Proven experience in technical support activities for laptops, desktops, smartphones, telephony, and networking. 

• Working knowledge of ITIL processes (certification desirable). 

• Experience working with IT ticketing systems such as Manage Engine, JIRA Service Desk, or ServiceNow. 

What you will be doing:

- Reconciling lists of deposits, withdrawals and other daily accounting activities

- SLA-critical deliveries requiring accuracy

- Providing daily support to the stakeholders

- Liaising with Risk & Compliance Department.

- Mitigating financial/reputation risk by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

- Escalating and solving queries by stakeholders

- All other tasks, as assigned by department head.

What you will need:

- Mandarin-English Bilingual a MUST

- Reliable

- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

- Must be able to work in a team environment

- Able to abide by staggered shifts schedules (rotational), as set by manager

- Required to work on weekends and on Public Holidays (rotational)
