AirAsia X is seeking a dynamic Technical Services Engineer (Cabin Interior) to be part of the best airline team in the sky!

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for cabin-related structures issues under specified ATA chapters.

• Serve as the focal point for cabin-related projects, such as cabin reconfiguration. Offer effective and efficient technical support to aircraft operations.

• Prepare and issue required technical documents in compliance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, aviation authorities, and other sources to facilitate analysis of engineering issues.

• Evaluate continuing airworthiness data and provide sentencing recommendations to the Modification Evaluation Meeting for approval.

• Provide approved data for technical instructions such as inspection and modification not covered by manufacturer's manuals.

• Ensure all technical documents issued meet departmental approval system requirements.

• Assist the Reliability section in conducting root cause analysis and providing remedies for excessive wear, malfunctions, or premature removals.

• Undertake development studies to improve aircraft dispatch reliability and provide recommendations as necessary.

• Responsible for undertaking necessary corrective and preventive actions resulting from compliance monitoring and audit program findings.

• Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by the superior.

Qualification and Minimum Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering disciplines from recognized institutions.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience on Airbus aircraft, with preference given to candidates with experience in project management, research and projects development, or participation in organizing community works.

Knowledge Requirements:

• Proficiency in cabin-related issues under ATA chapters 11, 25, 33, 35, and 38.

• Familiarity with technical documentation procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Ability to evaluate continuing airworthiness data and provide sentencing recommendations.

• Understanding of root cause analysis techniques and corrective/preventive action procedures.

• Strong communication and liaison skills with manufacturers, suppliers, aviation authorities, and other reliable sources.

The role

As a Senior QA engineer you will be responsible for the software testing and test automation based on the requirements delivered from the business, ensuring that functionality of the system developed in-house is fully tested to meet the high standards of quality expected by the business.

What you will do

As part of an Agile development team:

• Be part of next gen product teams here in Kuala Lumpur, build up product know-how knowledge and automation capability to gate keep quality of features and enhancement delivery are of high quality and meeting product acceptance criteria
• Actively participate in a team based agile ceremonies and work closely with software engineers, product owners, architects and designers to ensure deliverables are meeting quality and performance target
• Create, maintain, deliver and document manual and automated test suites built to validate the specification at multiple layers of application to a high standard
• Create and review test acceptance criteria for all tasks during sprint planning/ grooming
• Reduce risk through clear analysis of designs & stories, tailored reporting and clear line management and stakeholder escalation
• Identify and manage defects within project with a view of preventing customer facing issues

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of Test Analysis and acceptance criteria process
• Understanding of TDD or BDD framework (Gherkin language)
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium/ Cucumber/ Serenity etc
• Experience with functional test, and integration test (is a must)
• Experience with setting up the test automation framework, test process would be an advantage
• Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Team city
• Hands-on experience with Non-functional testing such as Performance, Security etc., would be an advantage

The Role

Works closely with and under the guidance of the Software Engineering Manager, the role will be responsible to deliver product enhancements, improvements as well as addressing issues.

You will involve in analysing and building a technical understanding of GBG Fraud products. A key part of the role will be ensuring our projects are delivered to high standards of innovation, quality, and excellence as well as on time and budget.

What you will do

As part of an Agile development team:

• Be part of next gen product teams here in Kuala Lumpur, build up knowledge and technical capability to deliver features in line with the overall technical and product strategy
• Guide junior software engineers to be technically capable to deliver features in line with the overall technical and product strategy
• Deliver product enhancements according to the requirements and take part in new developments
• Design, Code, Automate, and refactor codes, programs, scripts, and other software services

Technical Skills

• Good exposure and knowledge of Open-Source Technologies and solutions such as Kafka, Flink or Akka, Spark, Prometheus, Graffana and etc
• Knowledge of Lambda and real time streaming processing architecture
