Data Modeling Expert

Yonderland is a leading omnichannel outdoor retailer in Europe, representing strong brands such as A.S.Adventure and Juttu in Belgium, Bever in the Netherlands, and Cotswold Outdoor, Snow+Rock, and Runners Need in the United Kingdom.

Our central IT team supports three business units across multiple countries, with headquarters in Hoboken (Antwerp). As Yonderland continues to grow and invests in cutting-edge IT platforms, we are looking for a Data Modeling Expert to join our team. This role is crucial in shaping and maintaining Yonderland’s entire analytical data environment, with a strong focus on modeling data in AtScale, our decoupled semantic layer.

Responsibilities

· Design, implement, and maintain robust data models within AtScale to support business

intelligence, analytics and AI ready integrations.

· Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure semantic consistency and optimized

performance across the data environment. Together with them you’ll translate business

requirements into efficient data structures.

· Be part of the team responsible for Yonderland’s entire analytical data environment.

· Ensure data models adhere to best practices for scalability, security, and maintainability.

· Apart from data modeling in AtScale, you do your part of developing our ELT from

operational data sources into our Snowflake lakehouse using dbt, Airflow, Airbyte, AWS, SQL,

Python, Snowpipes, Jenkins, BitBucket, …

Profile

· Proven experienced in writing multidimensional query language (MDX) and mapping

relational data models into multidimensional data models preferably with AtScale or similar

semantic layer technologies.

· Strong understanding of data architecture principles and best practices.

· Experience working with large-scale data environments and modern data platforms.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and share expertise.
