We’re looking for a Dev Engineer to join our client’s agile team, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You’ll play a key role in delivering valuable increments at the end of each sprint, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to build robust and scalable applications.
Role & Responsibilities
- Contribute across the full development lifecycle: analysis, design, development, testing, and integration
- Take ownership of delivering sprint backlog items, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Collaborate closely with team members, going beyond your core expertise to support shared team objectives
- Translate functional requirements and user stories into efficient and maintainable code
- Engage actively with stakeholders and Product Owners to clarify features and ensure business value delivery
- Promote knowledge sharing, mentor junior developers, and contribute to team growth and learning culture
Technical Expertise
- Strong experience as a Java developer within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Solid knowledge of Java/Spring ecosystems, object-oriented programming, REST APIs, and SOA architectures
- Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium
- Good knowledge of Oracle databases and SQL
- Familiarity with cloud environments and modern development practices
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand complex systems and requirements
- Continuous learner, staying up to date with evolving technologies and best practices
Profile & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or equivalent through experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software development
- Experience working in complex environments with multiple stakeholders and teams
- Understanding of financial services or banking domain is considered a strong asset
- Ability to coach, guide, and support less experienced developers
- Comfortable working across different methodologies and adapting to changing environments
Languages & Soft Skills
- Fluent in English
- Good knowledge of Dutch and/or French
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Proactive, autonomous, and solution-oriented mindset
- Well-organized with strong prioritization skills and attention to detail
