About the Role
We are seeking a Medior Full-Stack Developer (.NET / Angular) to join our client’s dynamic Agile product team on a freelance basis for a 12-month project in Melle, Belgium. You’ll play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of public lighting management, supporting and customizing web applications that impact cities and communities across the region. As a Full-Stack Developer, you’ll help our client optimize and digitalize the management of public lighting assets, ensuring efficient processes and seamless service delivery. Your work will directly influence how cities operate, collaborate, and evolve, making a tangible impact on communities and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement new functionalities in existing web applications in close collaboration with the product owner and team
- Support and customize web applications across project, maintenance, and incident workstreams
- Analyze and resolve incoming incidents independently, working alongside functional analysts
- Collaborate on planning, scope, work estimates, and release monitoring
- Contribute to both functional and technical design of solutions
- Transform complex problems into concrete, actionable solutions
- Write unit tests and document your developments for maintainability and knowledge sharing
- Actively participate in knowledge retention and transfer within the team
- Adhere to development best practices and internal IT standards
- Ensure quality assurance through design and code reviews in consultation with the quality manager
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders including service desk, project managers, and infrastructure teams
- Apply structured change and release management processes
- Provide technical advice to analysts and designers
- Evaluate the technical feasibility of new requests and requirements
Technical Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience in developing .NET-based applications (Medior level)
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular (Medior level)
- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with development on Azure (Medior level)
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for web development
- Backend expertise with ASP.NET Core (Medior level)
- Unit testing experience with nUnit or xUnit
- Extensive experience with .NET 6 or higher (Medior level)
- Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence (preferred)
- Experience with Bicep (preferred)
- Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles (preferred)
- Experience with Azure API Management, App Service, Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Managed Identities, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Service Fabric (preferred)
- ORM experience: Entity Framework or NHibernate (preferred)
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL)
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Language Proficiency
- Dutch at European CEFR level C2 (required)

Freelance Opportunity
