We're looking for an experienced consultant to join our client's team. This role involves taking the lead in software development strategy and execution, guiding project implementation, and ensuring effective team dynamics within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and implementing a pragmatic vision for software development.
- Developing a sourcing strategy that aligns with overarching ICT goals and managing the software development budget.
- Recruiting and mentoring experts in software development, ensuring the presence of necessary competencies and motivating employees through growth opportunities and clear value creation messages.
- Promoting effective and agile software development practices, resolving obstacles for the development teams, and ensuring adherence to architecture and security governance.
- Overseeing all ongoing and planned activities while optimizing demand and capacity alignment.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 10 years of experience in software engineering and leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing teams of at least 15 members.
- In-depth knowledge of methods and techniques for agile software development, testing, and maintenance.
- Experience with project management techniques and capable of utilizing tools for risk and issue management.
- A solid understanding of PM methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMBok) and ITIL, with the ability to transfer knowledge.
- Fluency in Dutch (C2 level) and proficiency in English.
Additional Considerations
Familiarity with working for government entities is a plus, with the ability to focus on customer satisfaction, results-driven outcomes, continual improvement, and a people-centric approach being desirable traits.
