About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced .NET Integration Developer to join our client’s high-impact platform team on a freelance basis for a 7-month project in Brussels. As a .NET Integration Developer, you’ll be instrumental in making the Azure Cloud platform accessible and robust for multiple development teams. Your work will directly impact the scalability, reliability, and agility of business-critical applications, supporting over 150 IT professionals. The stakes are high: your expertise will drive technical excellence, foster knowledge sharing, and ensure seamless integration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, developing, and maintaining a robust integration platform and reusable .NET components using C# and Azure API Management
- Analyzing and solving complex technical problems, fixing bugs, and providing technical support to colleagues
- Engaging with external partners, including social security institutions, to ensure seamless connectivity
- Building and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD components using C#, PowerShell, YAML pipelines, and Bicep files
- Collaborating with cross-functional, agile teams within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment
- Participating in PI Planning and other Agile ceremonies to drive iterative and incremental delivery
- Conducting code reviews and ensuring code quality through unit and integration testing
- Contributing to technical documentation and sharing knowledge within and beyond your team
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring less experienced team members
- Continuously improving development processes and software quality by staying ahead of technology trends
- Automating and optimizing continuous integration pipelines to ensure stable development, test, and production environments
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with .NET, C#, and ASP.NET Core
- Confirmed expertise in Azure API Management
- Experience with Azure and Bicep (junior level)
- Experience with Azure Service Bus (junior level)
- Experience with OAuth Client Credential Flow (junior level)
- Experience with RESTful API design using OpenAPI specification (junior level)
- Experience with GIT (junior level)
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines (junior level)
- Nice to have: NServiceBus, gRPC, WCF, Enterprise Integration Patterns (1 year each)
Language Proficiency
- Fluency in either French or Dutch
- Basic understanding and elementary written/oral communication in the second national language
- Basic understanding and elementary written/oral communication in English
Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- 3 years of experience working with Azure (5 years in Azure API Management)
- 3 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

- Hybrid work: 2 days in the office, up to 3 days remote per week
