Everyone is generally willing to help each other out, which makes tackling challenging IT support tickets much smoother. I've learned a lot about different technologies and troubleshooting techniques. The flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid setup is a big plus, allowing for better management of personal commitments.
Cons: While work-life balance is usually good, there are periods, especially leading up to client deadlines, where the workload can become quite intense. This sometimes means longer hours than ideal. Also, career progression paths aren't always clearly defined, and sometimes it's hard to get timely approvals for training or new equipment requests, which can slow down personal development.
Advice to Management: Consider formalizing career development tracks and improving the efficiency of approval processes for resources. Clearer communication about project timelines and potential crunch periods would also be beneficial.
