Good Tech Role with Great Flexibility

Enjoyed my time as a Software Engineer at Mapbox in the geospatial tech industry. The company offers solid remote work options and the tech challenges are interesting, especially with their mapping platform. Overall, a positive experience in a dynamic tech environment.


Pros

The best part is definitely the flexibility. As a remote employee, I had a lot of autonomy over my schedule, which really helped with work-life balance. The technical challenges are engaging, working with cutting-edge mapping technology. Team collaboration is generally strong.


Cons

Sometimes communication between different engineering teams or departments could be clearer. There were moments where project priorities felt a bit fluid, leading to some context switching. Navigating internal processes could occasionally be a bit slow.
