Our Department of Professional Practice is made up of analytical, naturally inquisitive people that bring together knowledge across financial reporting and technical accounting. As an Experienced Financial Reporting Manager/Director, you will support the business and our clients in the application of accounting standards and other financial reporting regulatory requirements.
Your Opportunity
Forming part of the National Financial Reporting Team, this role will play a key role in:
• Research accounting and other regulatory requirements in the context of specific transactions to determine accounting consequences
• Coach teams and clients through technical accounting issues
• Review and provide feedback on technical accounting papers
• Knowledge share FAQs and key learnings with teams and clients
• Undertake reviews of financial statements for compliance with disclosure and accounting requirements
• Identify opportunities for and develop accounting and reporting related guidance, training and thought leadership materials for both internal and external client consumption
• Participate in specific technical accounting subject matter focus groups, developing technical expertise on the specific subject
• Provide input into global and Asia Pacific teams in the development of global guidance and sharing of common and emerging issues

SeaLink Sydney Harbour is looking for a full time and motivated Cruise Director who is passionate about the smooth operation of a large commercial dining vessel Starship Sydney.

About the role
As a Cruise Director for SeaLink Sydney Harbour, your day will consist of overseeing the operation of our largest vessel in the fleet Starship Sydney. You will report to the Hospitality Manager and lead a team of up to 35 food and beverage staff.

Our Food & Beverage team are responsible for all aspects of food and beverage service including set up of our dining rooms and functions, food and beverage delivery, and providing all our guests with warm welcoming service.

Your role will involve all of the venue essentials including overseeing the daily operations, overseeing open/closing procedures, back of house, ordering and receiving stock and ensuring the guest experience is memorable each time.

About You
To be successful you must:
• Possess a minimum of 3 years in a restaurant supervisory role
• Demonstrated experience in restaurant operations (minimum 2 years)
• Strong food and beverage service knowledge
• Ability to lead and train a team of food and beverage staff
• Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage time effectively
• Display professional and quality work standards
• Strong commitment to organisational values
• Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
• Knowledge of WHS standards and a commitment to workplace safety, and
• Ability to work a range of shifts, including weekends.
