About the Role
You will be at the center of activity as the company develops and grows. Reporting to the GIS Manager, you will be collaborating with teams across the business to help develop and deliver significant renewable energy projects across Australia. A formative GIS platform has developed but there is so much yet to build to meet current and future demands. As part of a small team you will be exposed to every aspect of GIS as it evolves. You will have the opportunity to apply your creative talents to problem solving and process development while providing high service

You will be in the thick of delivering time constrained and complex projects, but the rewards for meeting this challenge exceed equivalent industry standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare maps and plans for projects in collaboration with diverse disciplines including engineering, planning and investment teams.
Develop, document and maintain map product templates, ArcGIS online web mapping, Field Maps and other internet connected services.
Develop, document, maintain and where possible automate GIS processes, data management and workflows.
Develop platform interoperability resources (ETL, GIS API access across platforms for example).
Identify emerging technologies that aid objectives (e.g. BIM implementation)
Perform spatial analysis such as site suitability and viewshed analysis.
Capture corporate spatial intelligence and facilitate access to intelligence data across the business.
Provide training to GIS users across the business.
Work professionally and collaboratively with all teams to support their workstreams.
Maintain high GIS service delivery standards, building trust and confidence in your work.
Liaise with external consultants to facilitate the procurement and management of project data.
Communicate within the wider team and manage internal resources as required.
Utilise task management and communication systems to maintain professional standard communication with internal and internal colleagues.
Ensure transparent and efficient communication of targets, deadlines, responsibilities, issues and risks within the wider team.
Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders and the project team and prepare and present reports.
Report project progress, risks and relevant issues within the team and to internal stakeholders.
Effectively engage with key global project management teams to ensure that other teams have the appropriate information.
Skills and Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience working as a GIS professional using Esri ArcGIS products.
Experience working in the energy or resources sector highly regarded.
Demonstrated experience managing GIS data and workflows.
Demonstrated creative GIS problem solving, analytical and quantitative skills.
Ability to be effective in cross-cultural teams, collaborating across different geographies.
Extensive experience with the Esri ArcGIS products including ArcGIS online.
ArcGIS Enterprise server experience highly regarded.
Demonstrated commitment to work accuracy, with attention to detail and quality.
Demonstrated python development capabilities in an ArcGIS context highly regarded.
Degree in geospatial related discipline or relevant industry experience.
Strong organisation and planning skills.
Experience building ArcGIS Story maps or similar.
Ability and willingness to work effectively independently and within a team.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and positively with diverse individuals and disciplines.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Commitment to professional dialogue on work scheduling and quality.
