Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Systems Engineering to join School of Electrical Engineering and Robotics, Faculty of Engineering, Academic Division.
This position is open to women applicants only. We are seeking an academic with Electrical, Electronic or Computer Systems Engineering Background with a passion for at least one of these areas: RF, Communication Systems, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Industry 4.0, and experience in fundamental or applied research. This position will grow QUT’s strength in Electrical Engineering and Robotics research, education, and industry and external engagement.

The School of Electrical Engineering and Robotics plays a significant role in almost every aspect of a modern lifestyle, supplying the energy and intelligence for the technology that helps us to manage and understand the world around us. What you need to succeed
Completion of a doctoral qualification in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Systems Engineering or closely related fields.
Demonstrated leadership ability (teaching, research and/or engagement) in engineering field.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a research program that supports and complements existing research strengths in a relevant discipline of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Systems Engineering.
Demonstrated a good track record of high quality peer-reviewed Q1/D1 journal publications in the area of either RF, Communications Systems, Machine Learning, AI, or Industry 4.0..
Synergy with the School’s and Faculty’s existing research areas.
Capacity to coordinate and teach a range of relevant Electrical and Electronics engineering units, with the ability to implement innovative teaching practices including blended learning and authentic assessment.
Demonstrated ability to supervise undergraduate research students and higher degree research (HDR) students;
Proven ability to contribute to a high performance and collaborative culture.

Remuneration: Academic Level B (LEV B) $AUD125,576 to $AUD149,137 pa (inclusive of $AUD106,113 to $AUD126,022 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading) Academic Level C (LEVC) $AUD153,837 to $AUD177,406 pa. Which is inclusive of an annual salary range of $AUD129,994 to $AUD149,910 pa, 17% superannuation and leave loading.
