The West London CAMHS Eating Disorder Service is a well-established and expanding multi-disciplinary service which offers a range of evidence based clinical treatments to young people with eating disorders across the Boroughs of Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith and Fulham. The Service also links to a comprehensive Tier 2 and Tier 3 CAMH Service and a CAMHS Crisis Prevention/Care Team (ALLIANCE). The post holder will be part of a growing team of clinicians with a special interest and expertise in working with children, and young people, who are presenting with eating disorders.



The successful applicant will also join a thriving team of supportive, committed and skilled nurses who are dedicated to changing the future outcomes for children and young people who present to mental health services.

The CAMH Nurse will work within the intensive treatment community pathway. This is an exciting new development within the team to support young people to remain in the community or to provide consistent support on paediatric wards to support discharge. This role will provide outreach into the young person’s home to and local wards to provide meal and more generalised therapeutic support.



The CAMH Nurse work within the Eating Disorder Service under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Specialist. With appropriate supervision and support they will join the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of clinical assessment and provision of therapy to young people (0-18) and their families and/or carers within the Eating Disorder Service. The role will include providing outreach work to patients who may find it hard to attend clinics and in-reach work into Tier 4 Services.

As the Programme Director for the UEC Recovery Plan, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team responsible for the leadership, planning and overseeing delivery of the UEC Recovery Plan, working collaboratively with DHSC and wider Government, and NHS stakeholders across strategy, transformation, operations, and performance teams.

The post holder will be expected to manage very senior internal, external, and political stakeholders, giving confidence on both the programme’s successes and resolution of risks and issues. Working with senior colleagues in the national and regional teams, the post holder will provide effective and visible leadership and will make a corporate contribution in implementing the outcomes of NHS England’s key priorities. 1. Drive delivery of the UEC Recovery Plan, supporting and ensuring alignment across the system.

This is a Trust Clinical Fellow SHO level post suitable for doctors who wish to pursue career in Paediatrics and in neonatal care. Trust is committed to supporting the post holder in developing a career in Paediatrics. This post is full time fixed term appointment for 6 months and is trust grade . Day Time Clinical Duties Ward Round, providing cover to ambulatory unit, participating in outpatient clinics, and A*E, Providing cover to labor ward and postnatal ward, all with consultant supervision on a consultant of-the- week system. Audit and Research The appointee will be expected to participate fully in the departmental audit programme, to aid in developing of clinical services guidelines and to support SHOs in these activities. Participation in clinical research that is related to service delivery, particularly the chosen specialty, will be encouraged and facilitated. Research registrar is in post and takes responsibility of facilitating audits and research. Teaching Department is actively involved in teaching medical students from Barts and London University , 6-8, 4th year medical students coming for 6 weeks. Department has lead consultant and teaching registrar in post who look after their training needs. It is expected that potholder will involve in teaching medical students, SHOs and nursing staff. Medical Practice All members of The Trusts medical staff are expected to practice with in the GMC guideline, in particular those contain within the booklet on Good Medical Practice and Maintain Good Medical Practice. Additionally, all members of the Trusts medical staff are expected to be familiar with the Trust Professional Standard Advisory Group Process and to follow this as appropriate. Working collaboratively with senior clinical colleagues and external NHS/further education organisations in demand planning, educational contracts, clinical bids and building strong strategic relationships. Leading the existing and introducing new clinical education, learning and development blended programmes of work to meet the needs of our Trust wide strategic clinical workforce plans and local service requirements to ensure our colleagues have the right clinical knowledge, skills, clinical competencies and confidence they require to deliver safe and effective patient care. Utilising digital learning technology to enhance and support a blended learning approach on the delivery of development & education, monitoring improvements to the learner experience and ensuring learning is efficient and reaches all different learning styles/ways of working and divergent groups. Partners with, maximises relationships with HEIs/FEs and maintains close working relationships to optimise the best use of current programmes and work in partnership to develop new programmes and improve accessibility. You will work closely with the Directors of Nursing, Chief Nursing Officer, Medical Directors and with the Associate Director of People Development to ensure that all areas of Clinical Training, Development & Education are in line with the wider NHS national workforce plan, Trust wide Strategy and People & Culture Strategy workforce ensuring we work in line with any clinical national guidance and new professional practices. The ideal candidate will come with an educationalist background, you will need to be registered with either the Nursing and Midwifery Council or Health and Care Professionals Council or be able to demonstrate considerable clinical and professional leadership experience in a clinical setting. You will be a subject matter expert on clinical education, clinical people development and pathways. You will also be used to working in a complex matrix organisation with a multitude of senior stakeholders, including medical and clinical workforce groups.
