The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join the Technical & Project Services division at Roads and Maritime Services. Reporting directly to the Engineering Services Manager you will be responsible for providing high level administrative and executive support including the management and coordination of administrative processes. 

You are an individual who thrives within an environment that requires you to balance and understand critical or politically sensitive issues, requiring you to prioritise these issues on behalf of the senior executives.’

Your role will be diverse, it will be fast paced and you will need to be extremely hands-on in your approach to daily tasks.

You will be required to:
  • Manage databases, prepare contract and tender documentation, and prepare and process purchase orders and contract payment vouchers 
  • Contribute to the development of the office’s administrative capability through the identification and recommendation of system and process improvements.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service in the delivery of duties to support the organisation and meet our customers’ needs. 
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support the effective operation of the Office.
We are looking for a true administrative professional who can hit the ground running. You have a methodical approach, you possess great attention to detail and are adaptable and flexible in your approach when meeting the needs of the business. It is essential that you can demonstrate a solid administrative background to senior executives’ throughout your career to-date. 

You are highly organised, you have well developed time management and concise communication skills, comfortable and able to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic yet friendly and respectful working environment.

Remuneration package: RMS USS Grade 4 ($66,147 - $71,447), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
