About The Role
We’re seeking an experienced
Reliability Engineer to support a rolling stock workshop with hands on reliability improvement and analysis. This role is suited to someone with strong
workshop knowledge, a solid understanding of
equipment repair, and the ability to analyse maintenance data to drive practical improvements.
This is a Perth FIFO role, working fully on site across a
5/2 and 4/3 roster, with
12-hour days. You’ll review maintenance strategies, analyse breakdown and repair work orders in SAP, and lead structured problem-solving activities to improve equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyse maintenance strategies for rolling stock assets
- Analyse breakdown and repair work orders in SAP
- Conduct 5 Whys and Root Cause Analysis investigations
- Work closely with workshop teams to understand failure modes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance practices
- Provide practical, data-driven recommendations to improve reliability
Benefits

- $90–100 per hour + super
- Contract through to the end of June
- 12-hour days on a rotating 5/2 and 4/3 roster

About You
- Proven experience in reliability engineering within a workshop or heavy industry environment
- Strong understanding of equipment repair and maintenance practices
- Solid SAP experience with work orders and maintenance data
- Experience conducting 5 Whys and Root Cause Analysis
- Comfortable engaging directly with trades and supervisors
- Must have the right to work in Australia
