Pros: I really value the work flexibility here, which is a huge plus for a software engineer. Being able to set my own hours within reason and the option to work remotely has been fantastic for my work-life balance. The teams are collaborative, and there's a strong culture of learning and mentorship, which is great for career growth in the software industry. Management generally trusts us to get the job done.
Cons: Sometimes, with all the flexibility, cross-team communication can be a bit challenging, especially with different time zones for our global team members. Project scopes can occasionally shift quickly, which can mean adjusting priorities on the fly. Career progression paths could be more transparent at times for senior roles, though there are definitely opportunities.
Advice to Management: Keep fostering the flexible work environment. Focus on refining cross-team communication strategies and provide clearer pathways for career progression to help engineers see their long-term future here.
