Backend Engineer (JSON Schema Developer): Remote, Contract.
About the Role:
- In this role, you will design and implement robust JSON extraction schemas that transform complex documents into structured, high-quality data.
- You will play a key part in building scalable data solutions and ensuring seamless system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large, complex PDFs (25–150 pages) to identify key data points.
- Design deeply nested JSON schemas with clear structure and logic.
- Implement field-level validation (sum checks, null checks, typing rules).
- Define and support API contracts for smooth data integration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine data requirements.
- Document schema logic, field definitions, and best practices.
- Drive consistency and scalability in data architecture.
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong experience in data modeling, schema design, and JSON Schema development.
- Ability to structure complex, unstructured data into scalable models.
- Expertise in data validation, field typing, and logical schema rules.
- Experience defining API contracts and integration workflows.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Nice to Have:
- Background in database design or backend engineering.
- Experience working with unstructured data extraction.
- Familiarity with scalable data architecture practices.
